Well, I just... simply... couldn't... resist :)  Welcome the newest member to our Abyssinian family, Crichton...

He was actually planned, believe it or not :)  I had been keeping my eyes open for the other colors of Abys (red and fawn), and lo and behold, the breeder I got Angel and Belle from, Sandra Kelly, called me to let me know she had this fawn boy.  Well, this past Friday my girlfriend Evelyn and I paid Sandra a visit... and after spending a few minutes with this adorable creature, we just couldn't resist taking him home with us :)  He's 9 1/2 weeks old here... and yes, he's a big kitty for only 9 1/2 weeks old!  Check out his paws and long legs... he's gonna be big!  Like our other Abys, he's wild, crazy, mischievous, active, amazingly intelligent, and turning out to be loads of fun to have around :)

The first couple of days were a bit intense... as can be seen by Belle's growling face in this picture.  But with a little time and TLC, they've started getting along really well... for the most part, anyway :)

Awwww :)  This was one of the first "bonding" moments... Angel and Crichton laying next to Evelyn on the couch :)  The best part of this pic?  Notice Belle in the kitty cave in the background :)

A new toy!!  Well, a whole new piece of furniture as well!  I couldn't resist picking this up at PETsMART (the price was great!)... and they really love it!  Although... that little fluffy ball... what kind of company would make something for cats that had a toy that could shred so easily!?  Needless to say, it's already been removed :)

So with the original ball removed... I just HAD to get something to replace it!  And I gotta tell ya, this was a GREAT choice!!  They totally go nuts for this thing!

While at PETsMART, I got a new feather toy for them... and well, I hadn't taken it out of the bag yet... but sure enough, they managed to find it :)

Okay... this was hilarious :)  I got some helium filled balloons from the apartment complex I live in... so I tied a feather duster toy to the bottom of it :)  Oh man... they were going NUTS for this thing... carrying and chasing it all over the house.

Here's a VERY lazy Angel and Belle on a Sunday afternoon.

Yeah, this is kind of a weird picture... but I love the way it came out!  A slow shutter speed on the camera created an interesting effect to Crichton's head as he thrashed around with one of the balls on their kitty tree.

And here's a nice collection of sleeping Crichton :)  I know I know... sleeping doesn't make for the most exciting pictures... but he's just so damn cute! :)  He's turning out to be a total joy to have around, and though the kitties still have their "tense" moments, considering it's only been 4 full days since I brought him home, I think they're doing really great.  I wuvs mah kitties :)  And I wuvs mah Evelyn, and thank her for being here to bring home and introduce Crichton to his new home :)  I couldn't have done it without her!!

Well, I'm in trouble now... look who figured out how to get up on top of the cabinets :)  I was SURE I had another month or two before she'd be able to jump that high! :)

It's REALLY hard to get anything done on the computer with a couple of cats in the way... but even more difficult when one of them takes a fancy to chasing the arrow on the computer screen around :)

...and after harassing my screen arrow for a bit, Belle decides to make herself a permanent fixture of my desk... right next to my Pokemon figures :)

Oh yes... laundry day was quite a treat :)  Here we see the kitties getting entirely too curious about the laundry basket.  Notice in the left picture... the paw on the head :)  I'm leaving out the best pictures though... when I brought my socks and undies back and tossed them onto the bed to sort them.  These two were like magnets to my clean laundry, and made for some really funny pictures.  But... I don't care much for the thought of sharing pics of my underthings on the web for all the world to see :P

What is it with these two and water? :)  I thought cats hated water... but these two... they've been in the shower (falling in, by the way), they try to climb in the toilet (even when I'm sitting on it)... and here we see them like moths to a flame staring at the running water in the sink (yes, they did eventually go IN the sink for a closer look).

I'm getting better at this! :)  The latest pictures are really great, and show how relaxed and friendly the kitties are getting.  They're both starting to really take a liking for me... as well as getting more curious about they're new home.  Calling them playful and mischievous would be an understatement :)  They are an absolute blast to watch and play with.

I'm getting better at this... and my subjects are getting more and more camera-friendly :)

Yay Angel is coming out now!!!  Here you can REALLY see the difference in color between them.  This was taken with a flash, so the color isn't perfect... but not bad :)  And yes, I've already moved the plant :)
